Baked with Love

Giuseppe Mauro immigrated to America at age 13 from Naples, Italy. Between going to school as a teenager and working nights to help support his family in a new country, he soon found his craft and passion for bread. It started off him and his father working together at the bakery. After working at Cardinali bakery for a few years he later then opened up Gennari’s Italian French bakery. Eventually, between owning Gennari’s and working at Cardinali, the previous owners decided Giuseppe Mauro was the right man to sell to in 1993. From there on out the bakery has grown and keeps growing to become the empire it aspires to be with the help of his brother Agostino and his son Domenico.
